Safe Sport

I am not a coach, beta, but in our municipal school we had a simple rule: any child could come to my desk with their small khata and write one worry, no names needed. That book lived in my drawer, a safe place for whispers. Sometimes the bravest thing is just making the space for someone to speak.

That’s a beautiful rule. Reminds me of my father—he’d just pour a cup of tongba and sit, and my own worries would start to untangle in the quiet. Maybe safe space is just knowing someone is there, waiting.
