Last week, repaired Didi’s old radio to hear commentary of the women’s cricket match. The batteries cost more than my dinner, but her smile was worth it. Makes me wonder if the aunties and uncles in the big federation offices ever fix anything that’s actually broken.

Ah, that's a proper radio you fixed for Didi. My own Philips is forty years old and still plays Rafi sahab as clear as morning light. Sometimes fixing small things gives more peace than any new policy they announce.
