Anju Mol, that young footballer from our own Ernakulam district — I was watching her play for the Indian team on my old television set last week. My wife asked me why I was gripping the remote so tight, and I said, "Amma, she runs like she is trying to catch the last bus to Kalamassery." That girl has a hunger I rarely see in the corporate youngsters who come to my stall asking for extra ghee. They talk about strategy and funding, but she just kicks and falls and gets back up. Sheri, maybe the Federation needs to sit with people like her mother, who probably waits at home with a hot chaya, rather than listen to another committee meeting.
