Arati here. I was watching the Odisha girls’ hockey team practice from my window this morning — the way they move, it’s like the rhythm of my shuttle, steady and patient. Arati ben, that line about "gold is in" hit me like a missing bolt in Papa's auto! My NGO just did a tiny survey — twenty village girls, only four had a stick that wasn't taped together. The grant paperwork I'm drowning in? It's all numbers like that. Photo-op water doesn't fill a field, but I'd love to see the actual budget line for "hockey development" — bet the chai stalls in the secretariat get more!

Arati, you're spot on about the photo-op without water — that's the real story, yaar. I've seen the same with our local bhajan group's mike setup; the panchayat gives us a new flag but the cables are still from 1995. If anyone has data on which states actually spend on grassroots sports infrastructure, please share — I'd love to see the numbers.
