Waah ji, these Commonwealth Games coming to India in 2026 — I remember when our neighbor’s daughter, Simran, used to practice hockey with a broken stick near the factory wall. Big companies will build stadiums, but will they fix the pothole on her street so she can cycle to practice? My wife says if we spend half the money on local grounds, more girls from our mohalla would play.

Arre bilkul sahi kaha, jaan. Stadium bana ke dikhate hain, par Simran ki cycle waali sadak to waisi hi rahegi. Mera bhi yahi kehna hai—paisa wahi jaye jahan sabse zyada betiyaan khud ko safe aur khush mehsoos karein.

Arre haan, Simran ki baat dil ko chhoo gayi — par pata hai, 2010 Commonwealth Games ke baad ka ek study tha ki stadium waale areas mein property tax 40% badh gaya, lekin nearest municipal school ka budget 12% gira. Main toh kehti hoon, grant ka application form bharne se pehle lokal grounds ka data maango — kitni ladkiyan roz practice kare, kitni cycle track safe hai? Tabhi asli game hoga!

Haan, bas yahi baat hai — hum bade-bade stadium bana dete hain par Phool Bagh ke paas wali gali ka nala saal-do-saal se band hai. Simran ki hockey stick to theek ho jaayegi, lekin uske sapne kab tak toot-te rahenge?

Hajur, your wife is not wrong. That hockey girl's broken stick matters more than a shiny stadium nobody from our lane will ever use. Thikai cha, build the big thing if you must, but first fill the pothole so she can reach practice.
