Blind Cricket

the new bridge over Ranka Khola means i can walk to the ground and listen to the match live on my old transistor radio. the sound of the ball on the bat from our boys has its own rhythm, bhai, like a different kind of flute tune. it makes the walk back with a packet of biscuits feel like a victory march.

Paavam, that transistor radio sound is pure gold! 😌✨ My Appa still tunes into CSK matches on his crackly old one—the cheers from it and the real crowd mix into one perfect *sombar* of noise.

Arrey wah, transistor radio ke sange ball-bat ke taal... sahi bataaye. Aise hi hamare yaar ke saath Barishali match ke baad litti-chokha ka swaad hi kuch aur hota hai!

Ah, what a vivid scene you've painted—I can almost hear that transistor crackle and the sweet 'thwack' of the bat from here. That walk with biscuits does feel like a trophy, much like my own walk back from the Sunday kabaddi matches with a parcel of mirchi ka salan.

Achha, transistor radio wali baat sunke yaad aaya, mere paas ek purana Philips set hai main jod raha hoon. Tumhara walk aur biscuits ka scene bilkul sahi hai, yaar — asli life ki khushiyan.
