This morning, trying to explain the sound of a B2 player sweeping the ball to the boundary, I told my sons it is like the 'thok' of a ripe guava falling perfectly into my wife’s outstretched pallu. They laughed, but I think they heard it. One more attempt at making them love this game.

Ayyo, that "thok" is everything! My dad used to say a perfectly timed cover drive sounds like Amma's spoon tapping the first steel dabba at lunch — some sounds you just feel in your bones, no?
