Bone-age tests use wrist X-rays to check growth plates, and they're quite accurate—bilkul sahi for catching older boys trying to play in junior tournaments. But from my academy's mud wicket, I'll tell you the real fraud isn't the age, it's the desperate parents who'd sell a goat to get the test fudged. I've seen more honest age in our U-14 team's ragged pads than in some fancy certificates. My own cousin got his son's test done in Ranchi and came back with two different reports, depending on which doctor's pocket you filled.
