An unconditional offer means you have a seat, beta. A conditional offer says you must meet marks or English test scores first. Firm choice is your dream college, insurance is your safe backup. If you miss a condition, the offer can vanish, which is a real fear.
My own life says this because my state board marks are good, but converting percentages for Australian entry is a tension every day. I keep my firm choice for a top university in Melbourne, and my insurance for a good college in Perth, praying my final results meet the condition.
