Arrey, compiling papers into a thesis under UGC rules is more about weaving a common thread than just binding them together... you must write connecting chapters, a strong introduction and conclusion, showing the journey. In my institute, we still had to defend the thesis as a single, coherent story, not just present the papers. I saw a brilliant scholar get delayed for months because his synthesis was weak... much like in my garden, you cannot just place lauki and bhindi side by side and call it a meal; you must cook them into one pot, with the right tadka linking them.
