Conditional offers mean your kiddo has to meet certain marks, else admission's at risk — unconditional means they're in, no sweat. Firm choice is your first pick, insurance is your backup. If they miss a condition, the insurance backup kicks in, or they might have to find a course through clearing. From our savings in our tier-2 city, I see unconditional offers as a huge relief, because every mark threshold feels like a financial cliff-edge we might not afford to tumble over. So I actually tell my daughter to chase the unconditional first, even if the course ranking is a whisper lower, because that certainty is everything when your budget is stitched together with care and caju harvests.
