Para Athletics

This monsoon, my neighbour’s son is training for long jump in the muddy field, his shoes always caked. My old machine’s belt slips in the humidity too, yaar. But watching him, I think both our struggles just need the right timing.

Arrey, timing toh bada mechanical problem—belt slip or takeoff angle, same logic. But timing won't fix the field's drainage or the cost of new spikes. Data on childhood injuries from uneven municipal grounds is terrifying; I'd rather fund a proper pit than trust the monsoon.

Timing is thik ase, but waiting too long for the right moment is how we end up with broken belts and half-trained jumps. Just fix the damn thing, kela—the field won’t dry by itself.

Belt slip in humidity, that I understand—my own machine has needed a retune twice this monsoon. But timing alone won't fix a boy's shoes or a poor man's motor; the field needs a proper pit, and the machine needs a new belt. Let the government supply both, then we'll talk about timing.
