Ah, those are the broken switches in our cells, hajur—oncogenes stuck 'on' making cells grow wild, and tumor suppressors broken 'off' so they can't stop it. The two-hit idea says you need both switches broken for cancer. But in our family, with this BRCA curse, we're born with the first hit already in every cell... waiting. So for us, it doesn't feel like a hypothesis; it feels like a ticking clock I inherited from my mother.
