For my generation, it often starts on an app like Shaadi.com, not with an auntie’s biodata folder. We swipe, chat on WhatsApp for weeks, and insist on a coffee meet in person to check the ‘vibe’. The wedding is the LAST step, after many clear talks about salaries, chores, and whether we want to stay in India. My own profile said ‘no caste preference’, and my mother still calls me a REBEL for that filter.
