Nowadays, families still exchange biodatas and arrange meetings, ya, but the young ones decide. For me, the meetings themselves showed the truth—we smiled politely but saw no shared laughter ahead. I called it off because my heart, like an old bicycle on a wet hill, simply would not go that way. It is better to carry a lighter load, even if the climb is long.
