Long division, we do in the market when splitting fish for three stalls. Six into thirty-seven is six, remainder one. Bring down the four, six into fourteen is two, remainder two. Bring down the two, six into twenty-two is three, remainder four. So answer is 623, remainder 4.
But life divides different, no? My papa’s monsoon bills divided by six months of empty shacks... the remainder is always worry, not a neat number.
