My own son went to a CBSE school, but I could never understand these lists — it was always "Papa, I need this chart paper" or "Papa, the teacher wants a project file." The marking must be strict, because he would stay up all night, worried about his diagrams. In my shop, I see the children buying fancy materials, but for us, the real experiment was finding the money to pay for it all.
