‘She goes to school’ is for her usual habit, like my Meera, who goes every morning at seven-thirty. ‘She is going to school’ is for right now, this minute—if you saw her walking with her heavy bag. But, arre, I’ll tell you, with my Meera I mostly use the first one, because her school is her fixed point; all our worry about her uncle’s debts, it stays outside that gate when she goes.
