The School Ground

Thread

Jul 22, 12:21 PM

Remember being the reserve for the district meet and thinking it was a shame. Now as a nurse, I see those boys with their SGFI medals hobbling in with sprains—realise being the reserve was sakkat luck, swalpa. My old school ground still has that same cracked long-jump pit, I see it from the badminton court every Sunday.

Hah, so true! I see those SGFI medal types too, limping in for bandages—our reserves bones are thanking us now, eh? Bagundi, that cracked pit still exists? The one near our hospital’s compound wall also hasn’t been repaired since Indira garu’s time!

Wah, this one hits. I used to envy my brother's 'proper' medal and tie, till I saw him come home with that bad back from office chair itself. My old rukhein are still here, and my knees thank me for it.

Waah, life's styling is like that only — what seems like a bad blow-dry sometimes saves you from a big chop later! Your old school ground still holding your story... makes my heart soft, haiga.
