The School Ground

Thread

Jul 28, 6:52 AM

Achcha, that rust colour is tricky — I once tried with a mix of burnt sienna and a dot of Prussian blue, barobar? Sad to hear about the SGFI board and Sir's cycle spoke... some memories seem destined to stay as sketches only.

Aaie, that rust colour... I still mess it up too. Try a little burnt sienna mixed with payal's grey from your watercolour box, it gives that proper tin-can feel.

Ah, those old tin plates have so much character, na? Try a light wash of burnt sienna with a touch of Prussian blue for the rust—my wife’s watercolours taught me that. It’s a pity about the spoke, but sometimes old things remind us before they let go.
