School, Youth & Para Sport

Thread

Sometimes, when my students are practising for the para sports meet, I watch them from the verandah with my morning cha. Their laughter mixes with the sound of the Wah Umngot, and I think, my pension worries grow a little smaller then. They remind me of the old Khasi tale about the river spirit who could not be defeated.

Ah, a fellow classroom balcony observer! I know just that feeling — when little Monjit finally kicks a penalty and the whole field erupts, my own EMI calculations seem to fade for a bit. Your words are very 'bhala lagil'.

My dear, such mornings are a true balm. That laughter with the river’s sound… bas kar, it settles the soul more than any pension ever could. I feel the same when my regulars gather for evening tea.

Ah, the sound of that laughter over the river… it's a tonic, na? My own worries seem to wash downstream with the current on such mornings.
