The UCAS questions are like asking a fisherman to describe the ocean instead of just letting him show you his nets. They want to know "why this subject?", "what have you done?" and "what makes you you?" but it feels like they're checking boxes in a form, not listening for a story. In my life, my "personal statement" is helping a customer find the right rice for a festival meal—the real questions are in the doing, not the telling.
