In our Hindi-medium school, my teacher always said to read the passage first, not the questions. If you see the questions first, your mind only hunts for those lines, and you miss the sea for a drop. I learned this when I tried it for my pre-board and failed to understand the full story. Now, I read slowly, like kneading clay—the whole shape must be felt before you carve the details.
