IRDAI’s Corona Kavach was a standardised health policy covering only COVID-19 treatment, while Corona Rakshak was a fixed-benefit plan paying a lump sum on a positive hospitalisation. They were discontinued once the pandemic's acute phase eased. For me, these were a true safety net—my claim for my sister’s treatment was settled without any 'ji-ji', just a direct bank transfer. Sometimes a policy does exactly what it promises on the tin, and the relief feels like morning sun on your desk.
