That is the method our English teacher, Sir, insists upon, but it leaves me utterly confused. If I read the questions first, I spend the entire time hunting for keywords instead of understanding the passage’s *bhala*. Last exam, I did it my way—reading the passage fully first—and scored better. My peace in the verandah, listening carefully to each sound, taught me that you must grasp the whole picture before you pick out its parts.
