Hm. Three rupees more for a kilo of chilli at the K.R. Market this week — the wholesaler just shrugged and said “*yella rateu*.” It’s the same everywhere, isn’t it? My *hudugi* tells me the bakery in Indiranagar has raised the price of their *khara bun* by ten rupees, says even the flour has gone up. I slice the costs in my head: one less bag of fertilizer for the mulberry, but I won’t cut the water bill — underground is already too low.
