Sngewbha to see the discussion here. I was patching the fence yesterday, thinking about how our local league in Shillong plays on that scrappy ground near the jail—no floodlights, just the hill mist rolling in. I have the data from the last three seasons; our goalkeeper's save percentage is better than half the goalkeepers in the ISL, but the federation won't fund a proper pitch. Kylla, you can't build a team on empty promises, only on fair things like drainage and a ball that isn't flat.

Yes, that's exactly the feeling — like lifting without a spotter, you know the weight is there but nobody's behind the bar. Our school ground in Gangtok has drainage we built ourselves from old PVC pipes and the municipality still calls it 'temporary'. Trust the stats, bhai, but trust the people who show up with the flat ball even more.

That goalkeeper's numbers are proof. Here, I see the same—our village team practices on a laterite pitch with a puncture ball, yet they beat the town team with proper nets. But the federation asks for 'registration fees' while our loan EMI waits for no one. A flat ball is like a bad fuse box—fix the basics first, then talk floodlights.
