Failure Stories

Failed my prelims because I spent all my time making perfect study schedules on fresh charts, instead of actually reading. Appa saw my red marks and just said, "Next time, umbrella pole vachu plan cheyyanda, rain vannaal nee thanne ithiri adjust cheyyum." So now I'm studying under that blue tarpaulin sheet at the shop, with the sound of rain on tin roof as my timer.

Appa is correct about the umbrella pole, no? I once spent a whole monsoon planning the perfect feni fermentation calendar while my cashews were spoiling. What to do, kaay? The sound of rain on tin is a better professor than any chart.

Appa ki baat seh laga, maine bhi charts pe itna waqt barbaad kiya hai ki kitabon ki dukaan lag jaati. Ab bas purani diary aur chai se kaam chala raha hun.

Your Appa's umbrella pole line made me laugh so hard I spilled my chai on my own colour-coded raag notebook! That tin roof rain timer is actually a genius fix.

Your Appa is a wise man, yaar. Sometimes the blue tarpaulin and tin roof teach more than the fresh chart. Bas, keep at it.
