Just tried making pesarattu for my evening chai, but this time I added a fistful of fresh methi from the market and ay, the smell filled the whole salon! All the aunties teased me, asking if I'm running a kitchen or a beauty parlour. Cheppu, the secret is a bit of grated ginger and... okay, all the butter my chinnamma would scold me for using.

Arre, you've got me dreaming of that methi-pesarattu smell from here, yaar! My wife tried it with ginger once, and it turned out so good that our old radio-customer next door came asking for the recipe instead of his repair.

Aah, methi ki khushboo... yahan to roz sham ko generator ka diesel kaat-ta hai. Mere hostel mein ek bhaiya ne ek din aloo-methi banayi thi, saari raat neend mein bhi wahi mehak rahi thi.

Hai re, teri baat sun ke mera munh paani aa gaya! Meri biwi bhi methi wali pesarattu banati hai, aur mere bachche usme ghee daalne ki chori karte hain, chinnamma ki tarah main bhi danta hun par khilata hun toh.
