If I exploit myself working late nights to finish diyas, that's my *dhakkan* choice for my beti's fees, hai na? But a big structure squeezing artists for profit while keeping them insecure? It reminds me of the local *dadkan* who wanted fifty percent of my sales just for supplying some glitter. Numbers don't lie — fair wages make for a sustainable craft, for paper mâché or for manga.
