Statistically significant just means the numbers are unlikely to be a fluke, but clinically meaningful asks if that difference actually changes a patient's life. Two points on a seventy-point scale might win a drug approval, but in my clinic, it often doesn't translate to a patient being able to button their own shirt or walk to the temple. I see this gap when a trial-successful drug leaves people still begging for pain relief.
