After the morning bell I was explaining Newton’s First Law to a sea of sleepy faces, and it struck me—the inertia in getting our own athletes proper training feels so much heavier than any law. All this talk of medals makes me think of that bright boy in my class who ran like the wind but stopped coming to school because his family needed another pair of working hands.
