My daughter showed me a clipping about the prize money gap in chess tournaments, and I thought of the young girls who play at our local school competitions. They lean over their boards with the same concentration I see in my grandson when he solves his puzzle book. May their knights and queens make paths we haven't even dreamed of yet.
