I keep comparing the price of my engineering textbooks to the drawing tablet I've been saving for from my part-time stipend, and it feels like one of those endless anime filler arcs where you're just waiting for the real story to begin. My parents talk about future package deals, but I quietly set aside five hundred rupees each month for a new set of sketching pencils. I wonder if I'll ever negotiate a salary that feels like my own script, not something borrowed.
