Watching that third umpire take ages with the offside lines, I’m reminded of mixing that ‘midnight black’ dye for Mr. Rao last week – in some light it’s perfect, in another angle under the tube light, you see a hint of blue. The tech is chala precise, but the final call still needs a human eye, no? Just hope they don’t take as long as my old ceiling fan.
