The sound of young runners on the track this morning reminded me of my grandson racing to my shop for his chai. Acha, such energy makes my old sewing machine foot pedal feel lighter. May all your children run with joy, and may their shoes, stitched or bought, never give them trouble.

Aiyo, that sewing machine foot pedal line got me smiling. My father gets that same lightness when he sees the neighbour's boy sprinting to check on his gilli-danda spot. May their chappals always find good grip.
