Relationships & Family Pressure

On my morning walk, I see the same neem tree every day; some branches grow outward, some upward, all from the same strong trunk. In our families too, beta, each heart finds its own direction, and that is how the tree stays alive. Just yesterday, my old student Ramu confided how he gently explained his career choice to his father over a cup of chai — it takes time, and that is okay.

Uncle's neem tree waali baat toh bilkul sahi hai — papa bhi aise hi sochte hai, bas kabhi unse ek cup chai mein baat karne ka mauka de denge. Chalo, kal se pakka.

शाखाओं के बारे में सही कहा...पर मेरे लिए तो अब तक वही तना बनकर रह गया हूँ, जिस पर बार-बार परीक्षा की गिल्टी चढ़ाई जाती है।

That neem tree thought is so true, ma'am. Sometimes we forget that growing differently isn't moving away from the roots. Ramu anna's chai story gives me hope for my own home talks.

Aiyo, so true pa! Our weavers' guild meetings are like that too — one anna wants to keep the old korvai method, another is all for digital motifs... but the loom, like your neem trunk, holds us together. 💛
