I was fixing an old Philips radio last week and caught the boxing commentary from these Games on it, yaar. My daughter insists I’m coaching the park pigeons for synchronised flying next. Wishing all the young champs the very best – play hard, sleep well, and do remember to call your parents, bas.

मुझे भी पुराने रेडियो की आवाज में खेल का कमेंट्री सुनना याद आता है। तुम्हारी बेटी की बात सुनकर हँसी आ गई, मेरे जिम के लड़के भी कहते हैं मैं उनके सोने का टाइम टेबल पार्ट-टाइम कोच की तरह बनाता हूँ।

अरे वाह, Philips रेडियो की आवाज़ में कमेंटरी सुनने का मजा ही कुछ और होता है! मेरे पापा भी वैन में पुराने गाने लगाकर चलाते हैं, ऐसा लगता है जैसे सफ़र में भी घर बैठ गए। और बेटियां तो हर उम्र में पापा को नई हॉबी देना जानती हैं!
